Senior Test Engineer - Tieto Banktech (m/f/d)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer who wants to be part of Tieto Banktech. Tieto Banktech powers some of the Nordics’ most trusted banking systems with secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Using automation, data, AI, and cloud, supported by hands-on guidance, we help banks modernize their core, strengthen trust, and deliver greater impact across the banking experience. This role is in the Payments and Cash Management unit, where we work on cutting-edge technology to create world class financial products that are used by top banks worldwide.

Functional Test Engineer

• 7-10 years of functional testing experience in banking/payments domain
• Work as individual contributor and maintain high standards of communication.
• Experience in Test planning and test case creation to test complex web-based applications.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration & User acceptance Testing.
• Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements and estimation.
• Strong understanding of payment schemes (SEPA, SWIFT, Instant, RTGS)
• Hands-on experience with Payment Hub platforms (e.g., TPH preferred)
• Good knowledge of ISO 20022 message formats
• Experience in integration testing and E2E validation
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate into test scenarios
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of payment systems covering end-to-end transaction flows
• Validate different payment types (SEPA, SWIFT, RTGS, Instant Payments, Domestic)
• Analyze and test ISO 20022 messages (pain, pacs, camt)
• Execute integration testing across upstream/downstream systems
• Validate payment lifecycle: initiation, processing, clearing, settlement, reconciliation
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear business impact
• Collaborate with business, developers, and external stakeholders
• Support UAT and production validation activities
• Should have knowledge of at least one of the standard testing tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, HP ALM, etc.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment.
