As a Lead Associate - Buying & Merchandising, you will play a critical role in overseeing the buying and merchandising activities within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales and profitability through strategic procurement and effective merchandising practices. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that the company's product offerings are aligned with market demands and customer preferences.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement buying strategies to optimize product assortment and pricing.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and product performance to make data-driven decisions.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and finance, to drive cohesive business outcomes.
  • Manage vendor relationships and participate in supplier evaluations and selection processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in buying and merchandising.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in procurement practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members to foster professional growth and development.

With your experience range of 3-6 years, you will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge and skills to contribute to the success of the buying and merchandising functions. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
