Pre-Sales Consultant
Job Title: Pre-Sales Consultant / Pre-Sales Engineer
Role Overview
The Pre-Sales professional works closely with sales, product, and technical teams to understand customer needs, design suitable solutions, and support the sales process through technical expertise and solution presentations.
Key Responsibilities
Work with sales teams to understand customer requirements and business challenges
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and solution walkthroughs
Prepare proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and technical documentation
Design and recommend solutions aligned with customer needs and company offerings
Act as the technical subject matter expert during sales discussions
Coordinate with product, engineering, and delivery teams for solution feasibility
Perform proof of concepts (POCs) and pilot implementations when required
Address technical objections and support deal closure
Stay updated on product features, industry trends, and competitor offerings
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
X+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales
Strong understanding of relevant technologies/products (SaaS, Cloud, ERP, AI, etc.)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
Experience handling enterprise customers and complex sales cycles
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
