PURPOSE

An Associate Field Technician/ Specialist is responsible for performing maintenance repairs and installations at customer locations. Supports senior technicians in delivering maintenance and support services to maximize customer satisfaction. Assists in improving working processes and procedures ensuring service quality is maintained. Provides operational support while gaining technical knowledge in airport services. Assists with managing resources including tools and equipment while receiving training on specific systems and tools. Works under the guidance of experienced team members contributing to team objectives and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure equipment or systems at customer sites according to specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with equipment or systems in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations service visits and repairs.
  • Provide onsite technical support addressing customer questions and concerns.
  • Adhere to safety protocols during installation maintenance and repair activities.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends to enhance service quality.
  • Site Facility Management. Under instruction oversee the maintenance of the facility ensuring all equipment systems and infrastructure are functioning properly.
  • Abide by facility safety regulations building codes and environmental laws to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain an accurate inventory of facility related equipment and assets.
  • Adhere to emergency preparedness and response plans including fire drills evacuation plans and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Adhere to facility security measures including surveillance and alarm systems to protect assets and personnel, Data Steward.
  • Follow data governance policies defined by the Data Owner and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Monitor data quality consistency and compliance on an ongoing basis.
  • Refer relevant any queries to the subject matter expert (SME) for data in their area.
  • Inventory Management, maintain inventory of parts tools and equipment required for field service to enable prediction of future inventory needs based on service demand and usage patterns.
  • Monitor the movement of inventory using inventory management systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Contribute to regular reports on inventory levels stock movements and usage trends.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in onsite support activities and repairs of PCs Printers and airport services equipment. Must have dealt directly with external customers delivering to contractual service levels. Experience of working in the Airport / Airline industry preferred

  • Functional Skills: Customer Success Excellence, Problem Solving, Communication, Coordination & Time Management, Quality Assurance, Decision-Making, Performance Measurement, Compliance & Risk Management, Inventory & Demand Management.
  • Technical Skills: Field Service Management Tools, Technical Expertise of Products/Services, Operations Monitoring & Diagnostics, Technical Documentation & Writing, Data Analytics.

Education & Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Minimum Diploma / Certificate level qualification in Computer Science or equivalent in country IT qualification.
  • Certifications: Basic technical support or IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) CompTIA A+). Entry-level safety and compliance certifications (e.g. OSHA 10-Hour Construction or General Industry Certification).General equipment or systems certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network+ or equivalent foundational networking knowledge). ITIL Foundation Certificate
