Engineer I – Field Service (Projects)

Location & Role

• Location: Ahmedabad, India | Full-Time (On-site & Office) | Service Operations
  
  

Experience

• 3–8 years of experience in HVAC piping design and project execution
• Hands-on experience in chilled water piping, plumbing, primary & secondary pumps, and thermal storage systems
• Working knowledge of HVAC accessories and control systems
  
  

Job Summary

• Lead design, development, and execution of liquid cooling systems for data centres with strong thermal and fluid engineering expertise
  
  

Key Responsibilities Project Delivery

• Assist liquid cooling projects from concept to completion
• Participate in project meetings and provide design inputs
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing)
• Review and approve designs for accuracy and compliance
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Execute HVAC chilled water, plumbing, and fire line piping systems
  
  

Testing & Validation

• Develop and execute test plans for cooling system validation
• Analyse test data and improve system performance
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  
  

Service & Operations

• Apply knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics in project execution
• Understand control systems, BMS and sensor integration
• Perform preventive maintenance, bulletin implementation, and troubleshooting within SLA
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing
• Maintain proper technical documentation and reporting
  
  

Preferred Criteria

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASHRAE, ASME)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Proven experience in project execution
