Job Title: Cofounder / CTO

Xilix is an early-stage AI Ed-Tech Startup with a mission to “Inspire people to seek knowledge and reach their full potential by personalizing learning”. We are building the first artificially intelligent teacher for middle and high school students.

Xilix unlocks a new level of personalized education, making learning fun and engaging, and preparing students to succeed in a world on the brink of a technological revolution. We have a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap in place and have successfully built a prototype. Now, we're searching for a visionary Co-founder/CTO to join us on this exciting journey.

About You

You're a passionate technologist with a fire in your belly to make a real difference. As a key member of our founding team, you will collaborate on implementing the product vision, build the MVP, and lead a world class technical team operating at the cutting edge of AI.

You will need deep expertise in AI, including generative AI, machine learning, and natural language processing. And you will leverage your knowledge of full-stack development, and understanding of building consumer-facing products and APIs. Beyond technical brilliance, you will need to be a leader and collaborator, with the ability to attract and nurture a world-class engineering team.

To succeed at this job, you must have deep customer focus, be passionate about making a big impact, be self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, understand iterative development, curious to learn, and have high emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and execute the technology vision and strategy
• Partner and collaborate with founding team to experiment, prioritize features, and refine product
• Iteratively build the MVP for scale by leveraging existing requirements and prototype
• Work closely with the founders, advisors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical development and business goals
• Drive innovation at the forefront of AI by actively participating in research and development, and providing thought leadership
• Attract, hire and develop a world class engineering team, creating a culture of innovation and excellence
• Collaborate and participate in fundraising
  
  

Requirements

• Masters in computer science, data science, engineering, or relevant work experience
• 10 years’ work experience in building software solutions
• 5 years’ experience managing software developers
• High level thinker but also able to execute
• Good understanding of an iterative software development process
• Deep understanding of AI and experience building with generative AI, large language models, machine learning, natural language processing
• Proficiency in full-stack web development, with a strong passion for coding
• Ability to write Code (Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and React)
