Working Hours & Shift- 09:00 to 18:30

Role Overview

The Head- Business Development will be responsible for driving business growth in the fabrication industry by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. The role requires a deep understanding of the fabrication and engineering sector, market trends, and customer needs to generate revenue and ensure business expansion.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Business Growth & Strategy
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify potential clients, industries, and markets for business expansion.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competition, and customer demands.
  • Build and execute strategic plans to increase market penetration.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
  • Identify and engage with prospective clients through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Understand client requirements and propose customized fabrication solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals successfully.
  • Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by securing new projects and repeat business.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Track sales performance metrics and report progress to management.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments, fabrication technologies, and emerging trends.
  • Analyze competitor strategies and identify areas for differentiation.
  • Provide insights to the leadership team for product/service improvements.
  • Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure feasibility and quality of projects.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs to enhance service offerings.
  • Participate in internal strategy meetings and contribute ideas for growth initiatives.

IT Skills

  • ERP/MRP systems
  • Proficiency in ERP software for inventory.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

MBA in Sales/Marketing is a plus.

10+ years of experience in business development/sales within the fabrication or engineering industry.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.
