Overview
The Supply Planning Analyst – Availability Planning is responsible for ensuring product availability across assigned Business Units (BUs) through proactive supply risk identification, mitigation planning, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires strong analytical capabilities to balance customer service, inventory, and supply chain efficiency while supporting business growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor short-term and long-term supply risks across assigned Business Units and proactively identify potential service disruptions.
- Perform root cause analysis of supply constraints and develop actionable mitigation plans to minimize business impact.
- Evaluate alternative supply scenarios and recommend the most effective actions to maintain product availability.
- Collaborate closely with Production Planners across manufacturing sites to ensure alignment of supply plans and production schedules.
- Partner with Demand Planning and Customer Service teams to communicate supply risks, service impacts, and mitigation actions.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Control Tower teams to monitor product movements and ensure timely arrival of finished goods at DRP warehouses.
- Review safety stock and cycle stock parameters on a quarterly basis and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Monitor excess, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory and work with Business Units and Production Planning teams to minimize supply chain risks and write-offs.
- Evaluate and approve Additional Volume Requests (AVR) within defined timelines while balancing supply constraints and service commitments.
- Support New Product Launches (NPL), product transitions, and Run-In Run-Out (RIRO) activities through effective cross-functional coordination.
- Participate in daily and weekly supply review meetings with Demand Planning, Customer Service, Production Planning, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure timely escalation of supply constraints and support decision-making through data-driven analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply planning processes, service performance, and inventory efficiency.

- 2-3 years of experience in Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Availability Planning, or related Supply Chain functions.
- Strong understanding of supply planning processes, inventory management, and risk mitigation.
- Experience working with SAP/APO/IBP or equivalent planning systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and supply chain analytics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a customer-focused mindset.
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
