The intern will support the avionics and systems engineering teams in developing IoT-based connectivity and telemetry infrastructure for the aerostat and ground systems.
Description
Key Responsibilities
| IoT System Development
• Assist in design of IoT architecture for aerostat telemetry
• Support integration of IoT sensors and edge devices
• Work on cloud connectivity and data ingestion pipelines
• Develop dashboards for real-time monitoring
| Embedded IoT Programming
• Program IoT devices using Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi
• Implement MQTT, HTTP, and LoRaWAN protocols
• Work on Over-The-Air (OTA) update mechanisms
| Testing & Deployment
• Support testing of IoT devices in lab and field conditions
• Assist in troubleshooting connectivity and data issues
• Document IoT architecture, APIs, and deployment procedures
Requirements
• Pursuing or completed B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with IoT platforms (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi)
• Understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP, CoAP)
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar)
• Programming skills in C/C++ and Python
• Familiarity with sensor integration and data logging
• Interest in aerospace and high-altitude applications
