The intern will support the design, integration, and testing of radar and radio communication systems for Red Balloon's aerostat platforms. The role focuses on enabling secure and reliable Air Band VHF/UHF communication links.

Description

Key Responsibilities

| Radar System Development

• Assist in design and integration of radar payloads for aerostat platforms

• Support development of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and ground surveillance radar

• Work on signal processing algorithms for target detection and tracking

• Contribute to radar calibration and performance testing

| Radio Communications

• Support integration of VHF/UHF transceivers for air band communications

• Assist in antenna design, placement, and testing

• Work on frequency planning and interference mitigation

| Testing & Validation

• Perform bench testing and field testing of radar and communication systems

• Document test procedures, results, and system performance metrics

• Support EMI/EMC testing and certification activities

Requirements

• Pursuing or completed B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field

• Basic understanding of radar principles and RF systems

• Familiarity with signal processing concepts and tools (MATLAB, Python)

• Knowledge of communication protocols and wireless systems

• Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer) preferred

• Strong theoretical foundation in electromagnetics and wave propagation

• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
