Job Description

Position Overview:

We are one of the largest independent CPA and business advisory firms in Northern New England. Our office in India is seeking a Tax Staff Accountant who will be responsible for the preparation of stand-alone business tax returns, financial statement related tax returns, individual tax returns and some light tax research.

What You’ll Do

Works on various tax preparation projects under direct supervision of a superior (depending on the tax return, the supervisor could be a Senior Accountant, Supervisor, Manager, Senior Manager or Partner).
Prepares business and personal income tax returns; including tax returns for some financial statement related returns.
Performs light research projects in the area of taxation, including payroll and sales tax.
Communicates with clients regarding information needed or clarification of issues.
Actively pursue CPA certification.

Preferred Skills, Experience And Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field required.
Proficient in use of computers and basic software applications
Above average written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform under time pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work overtime periodically throughout the year; mainly between mid-January and mid-April.
