The Quincy Public Library is seeking a friendly, reliable Children’s Clerk to support our busy Children’s Department. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service at the Children’s Desk by assisting families with checkouts, answering phones, helping locate materials, and offering basic reader’s advisory and reference support. You will also help patrons use library technology, contribute to maintaining an organized and welcoming space, and assist with creative displays and programs for children.

The position includes supporting children’s programming, outreach efforts, and the Library’s Mobile Library services, as well as helping with collection care and department projects. Ideal candidates enjoy working with children and families, are comfortable with technology, communicate clearly, and are flexible in a team-oriented environment.

This is a part-time position that includes evening and weekend hours. Pay starts at $15.76 per hour.
