Associate Director - Managed Services - F&A
This role is with KPMG Global Services Delivery Platform, Advisory, Managed Services Team.
The role requires presence in office (onsite) on all 5 days, and to be able to operate between 2-1030 PM (IST) shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead large complex engagements in the F&A operations environment, build and run part of engagement/projects and deliver the objectives agreed with the client and onshore stakeholders
- Manage large teams (20-30) in the delivery of services and oversee complex financial reconciliations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive process improvements
- Supervise and mentor a team responsible for performing daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of financial transactions, including bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts
- Investigate discrepancies and variances, ensuring timely resolution and accurate financial reporting
- Maintain reconciliation reports and documentation in compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities for both process and technology improvements, develop ideas to utilize R2R tools like BlackLine, Trintech or Workiva with additional understanding of AI tools for innovation
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Understand client policy and procedures and its application on engagement delivery.
- Monitor actual performance against plan and make decisions to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Maintenance of Service Levels of the team and by overall engagement encompassing productivity, quality-based outcomes, thus, ensuring high level of customer service at all times
- Transition and project set-up in KGS, working in collaboration with internal, onshore and client stakeholders, involving key aspects viz. resourcing, technology set-up, knowledge transfer etc., and leading project to BAU mode in smooth and seamless manner.
Requirements:
Educational qualifications
- Must be a qualified CA/CPA
Work experience:
- 10 yrs of post qualification experience in Finance Controllership / Legal Entity Controllership / Core Finance and Accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Reconciliation tools & experience a must, especially Blackline
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation tools, accounting principles, and financial reporting
- Excellent communication, analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience in shared services or outsourcing environments, especially in the Insurance, Banking and Asset Management industry is preferred
- Executive presence, able to interact directly with clients
- Audit experience a plus.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Awareness of the Regulatory & Compliance guidelines and other relevant legislation, procedures and processes
