- Field and Office Work: This is a field job where the candidate will spend most of their time in schools for sessions. The other half will be spent reporting to the office.
- Office Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Travel: Travel costs will be reimbursed.
- Perks: Paid Casual Leaves and Sick Leaves, 2 paid vacations annually of 14 to 17 days each.
- Lesson Planning: Design and develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the educational goals of Spacewalk Education, ensuring that content is both educational and captivating.
- Session Delivery: Conduct astronomy sessions for school groups and individual students, making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging.
- Reporting: Create and send detailed reports at the end of each session, highlighting the learning outcomes and participant feedback.
- Social Media Engagement: Upload session highlights, including photos and videos, to social media platforms to showcase the work of Spacewalk Education and attract new participants.
- Astrophotography: Capture high-quality images of celestial events and objects to enhance the educational experience and contribute to Spacewalk Education’s visual content library.
- Public Outreach: Lead public outreach events, such as stargazing nights and community workshops, to promote interest in astronomy and space science among the general public.
- Knowledge Development: Stay informed about the latest developments in astronomy and space science to ensure that content remains current and relevant.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (e.g., B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc., etc.). A strong foundation in physics, astronomy, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, with the ability to present complex information in an engaging and accessible manner.
- Personality: A dynamic and enthusiastic approach to teaching, with the ability to captivate and inspire students.
- Experience in Education: Previous experience in teaching or conducting educational workshops is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in astrophotography and familiarity with social media platforms for content sharing.
- Passion for Astronomy: A deep interest in astronomy and space science, with a commitment to continuous learning in the field.
