Help build one of the most compliant consumer app portfolios in the world.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Compliance to join our fast-growing consumer app studio.

In this role, you will own the legal and regulatory review process across our marketing, product, and customer-facing operations, ensuring that everything we launch meets applicable legal and compliance standards.

You will work closely with founders, marketers, product managers, and legal advisors to proactively identify risks, establish internal compliance processes, and enable the business to move quickly without compromising on legal integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the compliance review process across marketing, product, and customer-facing initiatives.
• Review advertisements across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms to ensure compliance with applicable laws and advertising policies.
• Review creator and influencer content to ensure claims, disclosures, and endorsements comply with relevant regulations.
• Review landing pages, websites, product flows, email campaigns, push notifications, and customer communications for legal and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with marketing, product, engineering, and operations teams to provide practical compliance guidance during product launches and campaign development.
• Develop internal compliance guidelines, approval processes, and checklists that enable teams to move quickly while maintaining compliance.
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and platform policies that could impact the business.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend practical solutions to mitigate legal exposure.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel on complex regulatory issues when required.
• Train internal teams on compliance best practices and build a culture of compliance across the organization.
• Support investigations, audits, and documentation requirements when necessary.
  

Who can apply

• Candidates with 5–10+ years of experience in legal compliance, regulatory affairs, or corporate counsel roles.
• Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory and compliance frameworks.
• Experience reviewing consumer-facing marketing materials and digital products.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to balance legal risk against commercial objectives.
• Candidates based in Bangalore or willing to relocate and work full-time from our office.

Additional Candidate Preference

• Experience with FTC advertising and consumer protection regulations.
• Experience in one or more regulated industries such as:
• Telehealth
• Consumer finance
• Subscription businesses
• Consumer SaaS
• E-commerce
• Experience working with high-growth startups or technology companies.
• Strong understanding of influencer marketing disclosures, advertising claims, privacy regulations, and consumer protection requirements.
• Ability to build compliance systems from the ground up rather than simply reviewing documents.
