Analyst - Women's Economic Empowerment
Position Summary
IPE Global’s Social and Economic Empowerment practice works towards building girl capital, empowering women and nurturing resilient communities by creating inclusive and sustainable solutions, including but not limited to policy development, capacity building, adaptive management, community mobilisation, behavioural change communication, deepening social safety nets, beneficiary feedback analysis, poverty assessment, and evidence-based monitoring.
We are seeking an Analyst to undertake research, evidence generation, data analytics, and knowledge management functions for an innovative five-year program aimed at increasing women’s participation in skill training and economic opportunities by effectively addressing barriers and promoting women-led development in Rajasthan.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on relevant thematic areas such as female labour force participation, skill development, and women’s empowerment,
- Identify and compile data from public dashboards, administrative MIS portals, and other data platforms.
- Review the existing state monitoring and evaluation systems and MIS and suggest improvements to track gender-disaggregated data on skilling, placement, and retention.
- Review existing state-level policies, frameworks, and literature to monitor the status of women’s participation in skilling and employment opportunities, identify emerging issues, and support in designing targeted interventions
- Support in the development and implementation of a state action plan for boosting women’s participation and retention in formal employment in alignment with the national roadmap.
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, briefs, research papers and best practices to contribute to public discourse on women’s participation in skill training and economic opportunities.
As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the professional may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above tasks as determined by the senior leadership.
Qualification & Experience
Educational Background
Master’s degree or higher in Economics, Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field from a recognized university.
Work Experience and Expertise:
- 0-2 years of experience working in programmes related to skill development with a gender focus.
- Understanding of skilling and labour force participation databases and ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality knowledge products tailored for diverse stakeholders, including government, industry, and NGOs.
