Position - Deputy Manager - BBT Design & Engineer
Experience - 3-5 years of experience in Busway/Busduct systems, Power Distribution, Switchgear, or Electrical Design Engineering
Work Location - Ahmednagar
Technical Application & Design
- Review customer specifications, RFQs, tender documents, and project requirements.
- Design and configure low-voltage and medium-voltage busway systems based on project requirements.
- Perform busway sizing calculations considering load demand, voltage drop, short-circuit withstand, temperature rise, and installation conditions.
- Prepare technical submittals, drawings, layout plans, single line diagrams (SLDs), and busway routing proposals.
- Develop bill of materials (BOM) and product selection documentation.
- Provide presales support to sales team.
- Provide technical clarifications to customers during bidding and project execution stages.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Support site engineers regarding installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of busway systems.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, busway routing drawings, support details, and installation guidelines.
- Maintain engineering records, design calculations, and revision control documentation.
- Ensure compliance with quality management procedures and engineering standards.
- Ensure designs comply with IEC, IS, IEEE, NEMA, UL, and relevant customer standards.
- Verify system performance regarding short-circuit ratings, IP protection, temperature rise, and safety requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and value engineering activities.
- Support product development and customization initiatives.
- Analyse field issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to design standardization, cost optimization, and process improvements.
- 3-5 years of experience in Busway/Busduct systems, Power Distribution, Switchgear, or Electrical Design Engineering.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, data centre, infrastructure, oil & gas, or utility projects preferred.
- Knowledge of busway manufacturers' products and applications is desirable.
- Busway/Busduct design and application engineering.
- Electrical load calculations and power distribution system design.
- Short-circuit and voltage-drop calculations.
- Knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60529, IS standards, and electrical design practices.
- AutoCAD and engineering drawing preparation.
- Family & Layout drawing preparation in Auto-desk REVIT
- Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) knowledge.
