A native of Harlem, Charon Darris is a highly accomplished executive leader with a 25+ year career spanning finance, management consulting, and education. Specializing in turnarounds, fundraising, and strategic planning for the past decade, he holds a BA from Morehouse College, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. His prior roles include leading turnarounds at Oakland Technology Exchange West and Adams Street Foundation, and managing Individual Giving at Columbia Business School. Since 2023, he has been Executive Director of the Reading Team, supporting literacy for Harlem's youth. A proud Semester at Sea alumnus (Fall '97), Charon is also an avid marathon runner, world traveler, and cherishes spending time with his family.
