Job Description
The Service Owner – Microsoft Defender is responsible for end-to-end ownership, governance, service strategy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of Nokia’s Microsoft Defender services.The role ensures that Microsoft Defender capabilities are delivered reliably, securely, and efficiently across the enterprise while aligning with Nokia cybersecurity requirements and digital workplace strategy.
The Service Owner acts as the primary business and operational owner of the Microsoft Defender service portfolio and collaborates closely with Cyber Security, Information Security, Identity & Access Management, Workplace Services, Microsoft, and external service providers.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Own the end-to-end Microsoft Defender service lifecycle.
- Define and maintain the Defender service roadmap and service strategy.
- Ensure alignment with Nokia security, workplace, operations, and architecture objectives.
- Maintain service documentation, service standards, governance materials, and operational procedures.
- Lead periodic service reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor service health, incidents, recurring issues, service quality metrics, and operational risks.
- Drive service improvements based on operational data, stakeholder feedback, Microsoft roadmap changes, and audit findings.
- Partner with Information Security and Cyber Security teams to operationalize security requirements into service capabilities.
- Ensure Defender platform capabilities support Nokia security objectives and cyber defense priorities.
- Support implementation of security controls, compliance requirements, audit activities, and evidence requests.
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, Microsoft security technologies, enterprise IT operations, or IT service management.
- Experience owning or managing enterprise services in a global, complex organization.
- Experience working with outsourced delivery models, managed service providers, and vendor governance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across security, workplace, infrastructure, architecture, and operations organizations.
- Experience with ITIL-based service management practices, including incident, problem, change, lifecycle, and continual improvement processes.
- Microsoft Defender XDR and the Microsoft Defender product family.
- Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, endpoint security, identity security, and threat protection concepts.
- Security operations, vulnerability management, incident response processes, and enterprise risk management concepts.
- Microsoft 365 security architecture and integration patterns across workplace, identity, and endpoint services.
