The Opportunity
Implements tactical and operational planning goals to optimize supply, demand, and inventory strategies for a defined portfolio. Contributes to the execution of new planning processes, product launches, or inventory optimization initiatives that impact service levels, cost efficiency, and overall departmental performance. Manages planning projects or processes, such as supply/demand balancing under constrained capacity, scenario planning, or safety stock optimization. Solves planning problems involving cross-functional variables such as forecast accuracy, lead times, asset utilization, and market fluctuations, often deriving solutions from limited data or historical precedents. Regularly communicates with internal teams across procurement, operations, finance, and commercial, and may coordinate directly with external vendors, contract manufacturers, or key customers. These communications often require translating data-driven insights into actionable plans while balancing risk, cost, and service objectives.

Position Summary
The Sr Demand Planner role is responsible for the demand planning and S&OP process enablement for assigned market segments, sub-business units, or product categories. This role requires demonstrated success in structured problem solving and directly contributes to continuous improvement efforts by proactively identifying opportunities/risks, defining action plans, and execution efforts.

Position Summary
The Sr Demand Planner role is responsible for the demand planning and S&OP process enablement for assigned market segments, sub-business units, or product categories. This role requires demonstrated success in structured problem solving and directly contributes to continuous improvement efforts by proactively identifying opportunities/risks, defining action plans, and execution efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage planning systems to create forecasts and demand plans in support of the enterprise’s S&OP process
- Support and/or facilitate pre-Demand Review working sessions with S&OP stakeholders
- Define and record the assumptions included within the forecast and/or demand plan
- Perform trend analysis and solicit qualitative feedback from our commercial stakeholders to make informed adjustments to forecasts
- Perform ‘what if’ analysis to project outcomes for various business decisions and scenarios
- Track and measure plan performance, in example: forecast accuracy, forecast bias, forecast value add, and forecast attainment
- Prepare executive level summaries with clear and concise takeaways
- Present Demand Plans, risks & opportunities, and mitigation options to leadership
- Drive enterprise alignment: Ensure consensus demand plans are documented and agreed to by S&OP leaders with decision rights
- Enable Delivery Excellence: Engage with cross functional stakeholders to ensure that the consensus plan is balancing demand with supply, capacity, and operational capability to ensure our internal and external operations teams can execute the consensus plan
- Mitigate Financial Risk: Continue to monitor plan performance and highlight gaps as they emerge to enable agile and aligned responses through the S&OP routines and in partnership with the S&OE teams
- Apply Structured Problem-Solving: leverage Lean methodologies (i.e. A3, PDCA, 5 Whys/Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC, etc) to identify and eliminate waste in our business processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- APICS CPIM certification preferred
- Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, finance, or operations with a focus on working capital optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data/financial modeling
- Experience with supply chain finance programs and advanced planning tools like DA/Blue Yonder, Netstock, Aera, and Anaplan.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
