Government Bid & Proposal Specialist (US Public Sector)

We're expanding into the US public sector and need someone to own that pursuit end to end.

You'll spend your days finding the right opportunities, deciding which are worth chasing, and getting compliant, on-time bids out the door — first for US government agencies, and then across the US Educational Service Agency landscape (regional ESCs, education cooperatives, and school-district purchasing bodies).

This is a build-it role. You won't inherit a bid machine — you'll create one.

What you'll do

• Scan federal, state/local (SLED), and education procurement portals daily - SAM.gov, state eProcurement systems, and education co-op portals for translation, transcription, and interpretation opportunities
• Run go/no-go calls on each opportunity: read the solicitation, flag eligibility and set-aside requirements, and recommend which to pursue
• Build and submit compliant bid responses -compliance matrices, required forms, past-performance write-ups, and pricing inputs — before deadline.
• Handle registrations and vendor onboarding (SAM.gov / UEI, state vendor portals, education purchasing cooperatives)
• Map prime contractors and cooperatives we can partner or subcontract under to enter set-aside work
• Track the pipeline, deadlines, and outcomes, and improve win rate over time

What we're looking for

• ~2–3 years in bid/proposal work, US staffing presales, or government tender response ( SAM.gov or US state/education portal experience(
• Sharp reading comprehension: you can digest a 120-page solicitation and pull out what actually matters
• Obsessive about deadlines and compliance.
• Clear written English and comfort assembling structured documents
• Self-directed you can run this entire function without anyone standing over you.
• Nice to have: experience with language-services or professional-services bids
