We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing cloud based data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). The role involves building scalable data solutions, improving performance, and supporting enterprise analytics and reporting requirements.

The role involves building scalable data solutions, improving performance, and supporting enterprise analytics and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, tasks, and streams in Snowflake.
- Implement data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).
- Integrate data from multiple sources such as databases, APIs, files, and cloud storage.
- Monitor and improve query performance, warehouse sizing, and cost optimization.
- Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and reporting teams to deliver data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance standards are followed.
- Support production deployments and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and best practice initiatives.
- 5–8 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing.
- Strong hands on experience with Snowflake.
- Excellent proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as ADF, Informatica, Matillion, DBT, Talend, or similar.
- Good understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Snowflake features: Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, Cloning, Data Sharing, and Stored Procedures.
- Experience with performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Python or PySpark.
- Exposure to DBT and modern data stack architecture.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools.
- Understanding of data governance and metadata management.
- Snowflake certification is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in enterprise scale data platforms is preferred.
