Job Summary

The Innovation Lab Mathematician II accelerates slot math creation through AI-driven tools, automation, simulations, and advanced mathematical methods. This role combines strong slot math expertise with innovation, partnering with mathematicians, engineers, designers, and R&D teams to develop solutions that improve the speed, quality, and consistency of game math development at Bluberi.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Apply deep expertise in slot machine mathematics, probabilities, pay tables, RTP, volatility, hit frequency, feature frequency, and bonus behavior to support the creation of accurate, engaging, and high-performing math models.
• Develop, run, and analyze simulations and theoretical calculations to validate math models, evaluate game performance, identify issues, and recommend improvements.
• Use strong C# programming skills to build, maintain, and improve internal tools, simulation platforms, automation workflows, and AI-assisted solutions that accelerate slot math creation.
• Translate mathematical requirements into scalable algorithms, technical specifications, reusable frameworks, and reliable software solutions for use by mathematicians and game development teams.
• Understand and apply jurisdictional requirements, including market-specific regulations, RTP constraints, certification expectations, and strong knowledge of Class III, Class II, and HHR gaming requirements that impact slot machine math.
• Other projects and duties as assigned by manager. 
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in mathematics or Statistics or relevant experience in lieu. 
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of Combinatorics, Probability Theory and Statistics. 
• 3+ years of experience in game development. 
• Demonstrated proficiency with C#.
• Advanced Excel skills, able to understand and adapt large and complex spreadsheets. 
• Excellent communication skills in English. 
• Active GitHub profile showcasing personal or open-source projects demonstrating C# development
  
  

Assets

• Knowledge of the casino gaming industry (slot machines, table games, or iGaming)
• Experience with game engines
• Familiarity with regulatory/compliance standards (GLI, BMM, or similar)
• Active GitHub profile showcasing personal or open-source projects demonstrating C# development and computer vision applications
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
