Sourceability
Sourceability is a global digital distributor of electronic components transforming how modern businesses bring products to market. With innovation, quality and logistics as the backbone of the company, Sourceability's cutting-edge products and services expedite the procurement process across a wide range of industries, including communications/cellular, consumer electronics, and auto manufacturing.

We are looking for a dynamic Junior Excess Buyer to become a vital part of our vibrant APAC Excess team, working across the assigned APAC market.

This is an opportunity to help build Sourceability's supplier and customer universe by identifying OEM, EMS, ODM, OCM and Tier supplier accounts that may hold excess, obsolete or unwanted electronic component inventory. The role is designed as an entry point into the Excess career path and provides structured training toward becoming an Excess Buyer.

Our goal is to build a sophisticated team equipped with strong technical awareness, commercial discipline and keen business acumen. Each team member adds value to the business, the customer and the wider supply chain.

Insight on your impact:

  • Research and identify new potential OEM, EMS, ODM, OCM and Tier supplier accounts within assigned APAC markets.
  • Cold call, email and conduct structured outreach to identify excess inventory contacts and decision-makers.
  • Map procurement, supply chain, inventory, warehouse, finance, materials and E&O contacts inside target companies.
  • Request excess, obsolete and unwanted component lists and route opportunities to the appropriate Excess Buyer or Senior Excess Buyer.
  • Record all activity accurately in CRM, including account ownership checks, contacts, outreach history and next steps.
  • Forward all sales opportunities to the relevant Sales Manager / Director and do not quote, sell or claim Sales account ownership.
  • Support database cleanup by requalifying inactive accounts, outdated contacts, duplicate records and accounts with no current excess potential.
  • Build foundational knowledge of electronic components, MPNs, manufacturers, date codes, packaging, lead times and excess terminology.

Your qualifications, your influence:

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills:

  • Entry-level commercial, procurement, sales development, supply chain or customer-facing experience preferred.
  • Comfortable making cold calls, sending professional outreach messages and handling rejection constructively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak to procurement, supply chain, inventory and operations contacts.
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to maintain clean CRM records.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel / spreadsheet capability and willingness to learn electronic component data structures.
  • Ability to follow account ownership rules, Sales handover rules and escalation procedures.
  • High energy, curiosity, persistence and willingness to learn the electronic component distribution industry.

Preferred skills and technical familiarity:

Adding additional insight, practical experience and a growth mindset will elevate your contribution in this role:

  • Exposure to electronic components, distribution, manufacturing, EMS, OEM or supply chain environments.
  • Experience using CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, company databases, trade show lists or other prospecting tools.
  • Basic understanding of MPN, manufacturer, quantity, date code, packaging, lead time and excess inventory terms.
  • Language skills relevant to assigned region, such as Mandarin, Hindi, Tamil, Bahasa, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese or Korean.
  • Ability to learn quickly, ask good questions and improve through coaching and call feedback.
  • Interest in developing into a full Excess Buyer role through training, account handling and performance progression.
