Social Media Manager (Events) — Fitpage | Ascend | India Running

Location: Mumbai Reports to: Marketing Lead

About the Role

We're looking for a Social Media Manager who thrives on the chaos and energy of event days. You'll own social media before, during, and after our runs, activations, and community events — turning bib pickups, start lines, and finish-line hugs into content that makes people wish they were there (and sign up for the next one).

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute social media strategy around events — pre-event hype, live coverage, post-event recaps
• Manage real-time content capture and posting on race day / event day (stories, reels, posts)
• Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and on-ground teams to source content fast
• Build event-specific content calendars leading up to and following each activation
• Write captions and community posts that capture event energy and runner stories
• Track engagement and performance of event content, and report on what worked
• Collaborate with the events and design teams to plan content touchpoints in advance

What We're Looking For

• Genuine interest in running, fitness, or sports communities
• 1–3 years of social media management experience, ideally with live/event coverage
• Comfortable working on the ground at events — early mornings, outdoor shoots, fast turnarounds
• Strong instinct for what makes content stop the scroll in real time
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt content plans on the fly
• Self-driven; comfortable owning event-day content solo when needed
