Head Testing - BESS

Role Purpose

Lead end-to-end testing, validation, and certification of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ensuring performance, safety, and compliance across components and integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement Test Strategy & Validation Plans (cell/module/pack/system level)
• Establish and manage testing infrastructure & labs (electrical, thermal, safety, environmental)
• Lead system-level validation: Battery, BMS, PCS, EMS, container integration
• Ensure compliance with IEC / UL / BIS standards and certification requirements
• Drive performance, reliability, and safety testing (cycle life, abuse, thermal runaway)
• Own test data analysis, reporting, and sign-offs for product release
• Lead failure analysis (RCA) and validation of corrective actions
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing for design and process improvements
• Manage external test labs, certification bodies, and customer validations
  
  

Must-Have Experience

• 12–18 years in testing/validation
• Strong experience in BESS / Battery / EV / Power Electronics testing
• Exposure to system-level validation & certification
