F5 Engineer

We are looking for an experienced F5 Engineer responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting F5 BIG-IP solutions. The candidate should have strong experience in LTM, GTM/DNS, SSL, load balancing, traffic management, and application delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, deploy, and maintain F5 BIG-IP infrastructure.

Manage and troubleshoot F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) configurations.

Configure Virtual Servers, Pools, Pool Members, Monitors, Profiles, iRules, and SNAT.

Manage GTM/DNS configurations and global traffic distribution.

Configure and manage SSL/TLS certificates, SSL offloading, and re-encryption.

Perform application traffic analysis and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.

Develop and maintain iRules and traffic policies based on application requirements.

Configure high availability, failover, and redundancy for F5 devices.

Perform F5 upgrades, migrations, patching, and configuration backups.

Monitor F5 systems and resolve incidents, alerts, and performance issues.

Work with network, security, server, and application teams to resolve complex issues.

Implement security and access-control policies on F5 devices.

Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and configuration standards.

Participate in change management, incident management, and disaster recovery activities.

Mandatory Skills

Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP.

Expertise in F5 LTM.

Good knowledge of GTM/DNS.

Experience with Virtual Servers, Pools, Monitors, Profiles, SNAT, iRules.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS.

Experience with SSL offloading and certificate management.

Knowledge of F5 HA, clustering, failover, and troubleshooting.

Good understanding of routing, switching, and network security concepts.

Experience in production support and incident resolution.

Good to Have

Experience with F5 Advanced WAF / ASM.

Knowledge of F5 APM.

Experience with F5 BIG-IQ.

Knowledge of automation using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.

Experience with cloud environments such as AWS/Azure.

F5 certification such as F5-CTS is an added advantage.
