Video Editor Volunteer

Guardian of Childhood is a youth-led nonprofit working to advance children's rights and create safer environments where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

About The Role

We are looking for a creative and motivated Video Editor Volunteer to join our communications team.

The volunteer will help transform our ideas, educational content, campaigns, interviews, webinars, and awareness initiatives into engaging visual content for our digital platforms.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build practical experience in video editing while contributing to a child rights-focused organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form videos for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms
  • Edit interviews, webinars, educational videos
  • Add subtitles, transitions, graphics, and appropriate visual elements
  • Help maintain consistency with Guardian of Childhood's visual identity
  • Collaborate with the communications and program teams
  • Suggest creative approaches for improving video content
  • Adapt videos into different formats and aspect ratios for social media
  • Support special campaigns and international awareness days

What We're Looking For

  • Basic to intermediate video editing skills
  • Familiarity with tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
  • Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual communication
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet agreed deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and receive feedback
  • Interest in child rights, education, youth participation, or social impact

Professional experience is not required. Students and young creators are encouraged to apply.
