Responsibilities

Application Development

Lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of software applications.
Oversee the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
Review technical designs, architecture decisions, and development approaches.
Ensure application solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with business requirements.
Manage technical debt and drive application modernization initiatives.

Technical Advisory & Solution Leadership

Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders on application strategy and technology solutions.
Provide guidance on architecture, integration, development frameworks, and emerging technologies.
Evaluate technology options and recommend solutions to address business challenges.
Drive adoption of engineering best practices, automation, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
Support strategic planning and technology roadmap initiatives.

Stakeholder & Project Management

Partner with business leaders, project managers, architects, product owners, and vendors to deliver projects and enhancements.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively.
Participate in project estimation, planning, prioritization, and resource forecasting.
Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution across cross-functional teams.

Application Support & Operational Excellence

Oversee application support activities and ensure service levels are achieved.
Lead resolution of complex incidents and production issues.
Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
Drive root cause analysis and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
Ensure effective change, release, and environment management practices.

Risk, Security & Compliance

Ensure compliance with organizational security, risk management, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Promote secure software development practices and vulnerability management.
Identify and mitigate technology and project risks.
Support audit reviews and governance activities.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Identify opportunities to improve development processes, application performance, and delivery efficiency.
Champion automation, CI/CD, cloud adoption, and modern engineering practices.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
Establish and monitor development metrics and performance indicators.
