DevOps Engineer (On-Premises)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced On-Prem DevOps Engineer to manage and automate on-premises infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and application environments. The candidate should have strong experience with DevOps tools, Linux, containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Manage and support on-premises servers and infrastructure.
• Work with Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and system administration.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration management using Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Manage source code repositories using Git/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Automate application deployments and environment provisioning.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Work with tools such as Nexus/Artifactory, SonarQube, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Support production releases, incident resolution, and environment upgrades.
• Implement best practices for security, availability, backup, and disaster recovery.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in DevOps / Infrastructure / Deployment.
• Strong hands-on experience in On-Premises environments.
• Jenkins and CI/CD.
• Linux/Unix administration.
• Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Ansible.
• Git/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Shell scripting; Python is an advantage.
• Good understanding of networking, servers, and infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
