Backdropsource designs and sells custom event backdrops, tension fabric displays, trade show media walls, and exhibition products to businesses, churches, event planners, and trade show exhibitors across 8+ geographies.

Role Overview

We're looking for an Email Marketing Manager to own and grow our email channel — driving repeat purchases, nurturing leads, and building lifecycle campaigns that convert browsers into customers and customers into repeat buyers. This is a hands-on role covering strategy, copywriting, segmentation, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the email marketing calendar — promotional campaigns, product launches, seasonal/trade show season pushes, and abandoned cart/browse recovery flows
• Build and optimize lifecycle automations (welcome series, post-purchase, win-back, etc.)
• Segment the customer database (B2B vs B2C, churches, trade show exhibitors, repeat vs. first-time buyers) for targeted messaging
• Write and brief email copy; coordinate with design for on-brand templates
• A/B test subject lines, send times, layouts, and CTAs to improve open, click, and conversion rates
• Report on key metrics (open rate, CTR, revenue per email, list growth, unsubscribe rate) and translate data into action
• Work with the sales team to support B2B email outreach

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on email marketing experience, ideally in e-commerce
• Proficiency with an ESP (Klaviyo strongly preferred, or Mailchimp/Omnisend/ActiveCampaign)
• Strong copywriting skills with an understanding of persuasive, conversion-focused messaging
• Experience building automated flows and segmentation strategies
• Comfortable with basic HTML/email template editing (not mandatory, but a plus)
• Familiarity with Shopify is a plus
• Experience marketing to niche B2B segments (events, exhibitions) is a plus
• Experience with SMS marketing as a complementary channel is a plus
