Summary
The Scientist-Biologist plays a pivotal role in driving the biological aspects of a research project, collaborating closely within an interdisciplinary team. This position entails a deep dive into the physiological mechanisms underlying various diseases, encompassing autoimmunity, immuno-oncology, neuroscience, and metabolic disorders. Through comprehensive and meticulous literature reviews, the individual will synthesize current scientific knowledge and effectively communicate findings to the team. This role is intellectually stimulating and demands a strong analytical mindset to integrate scientific insights into quantitative models, thereby catalysing advancements in research and development. The individual will contribute significantly to shaping the direction of research, identifying potential therapeutic targets, and informing the development of innovative treatment strategies.

Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth literature reviews on disease mechanisms, staying abreast of cutting-edge research.
- Critically analyse scientific literature to identify key biological pathways and therapeutic targets.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, effectively communicating biological insights and contributing to project goals.
- Develop and refine quantitative models that integrate biological data and drive research progress.
- Contribute to the development of innovative research strategies and experimental designs.
- Prepare and present scientific reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Physiology, Cell & Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or research environment, ideally in Quantitative Pharmacology
- Leadership & Hands-on experience in developing and implementing quantitative models to analyze and interpret biological systems.
- In-depth understanding of disease biology, with a focus on areas such as autoimmunity, immuno-oncology, neuroscience, or metabolic disorders.
- Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and synthesize intricate information into clear, actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing quantitative models to analyze and interpret biological systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and effective teamwork.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex scientific challenges.
- Ability to guide and mentor junior scientists with their queries.
- A genuine passion for driving scientific discoveries and innovation in the field.
