Job Overview

MarkupMarvel is opening 2 SEO, AEO & GEO Content Strategist Intern positions for people who understand content and search principles but haven’t yet applied them on a real business or client project. This 6-month unpaid internship gives you genuine hands-on experience across traditional SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation, and Generative Engine Optimisation — working on real content strategy for our own site and client projects.

What You’ll Do

• Research keywords and search intent for real client and internal content
• Write and optimise articles for traditional SEO, AI answer engines, and generative search visibility
• Support technical SEO tasks — meta descriptions, schema markup, internal linking
• Track content performance and suggest improvements based on real data
• Learn how AEO and GEO differ from traditional SEO and apply both in practice
• Contribute to lead generation content and strategy
  
  

Requirement

• Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals — keywords, on-page optimisation, content structure
• Strong writing ability in English
• Willingness to learn AEO and GEO concepts, which are still evolving
• Comfortable using tools like Google Search Console, Semrush, or Ahrefs (or willing to learn)
• Genuine interest in content strategy and search as a career path
  
  

Nice to Have

• Personal blog, published articles, or content writing samples
• Basic understanding of AI search tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews
• Familiarity with WordPress content publishing
