Front-End Engineer (React.js)

About The Role

We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in building modern, responsive, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks, along with a solid understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and UI/UX best practices.

You will work closely with backend engineers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA teams to develop scalable enterprise applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. Experience integrating REST APIs, working with cloud-hosted applications, and building reusable component libraries is highly desirable.

Should able to handle large PDF documents (hundreds to thousands of pages), high-resolution images, and AI-generated annotations. The ideal candidate should have experience building applications involving document rendering, image manipulation, canvas-based interactions, and performance optimization for large datasets.

You will work closely with backend engineers, AI/ML engineers, product managers, and UX designers to build intuitive and responsive user experiences for enterprise-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React.
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components.
• Develop pixel-perfect user interfaces based on UI/UX designs and wireframes.
• Optimize application performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across browsers and devices.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  
  

API Integration

• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration.
• Handle authentication, authorization, and secure communication with backend services.
• Implement efficient error handling and loading states.
  
  

Performance & Quality

• Optimize application performance using lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and rendering optimization.
• Improve Core Web Vitals and overall application responsiveness.
• Identify and resolve UI bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Write unit and integration tests for frontend components.
• Develop features for viewing and interacting with large PDF documents containing hundreds or thousands of pages.
• Optimize rendering performance for large documents using techniques such as lazy loading, virtual scrolling, page caching, and incremental rendering.
  
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with UI/UX designers to deliver intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Collaborate with product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to frontend best practices.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in frontend application development.
• Strong expertise in React.js.
• Experience developing enterprise-grade, responsive web applications.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture and component-based development.

• Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with design systems and reusable component libraries.
• Basic understanding of backend technologies (Node.js or Python) to facilitate collaboration with backend teams.
