Principal Product Manager - India Product Development Team

About the Opportunity

We're building out a brand-new Product Development Team in India for a high-growth, AI-native global marketplace platform - and this is a founding-member opportunity. You'll own one of the platform's core international product areas end-to-end (think: buyer experience, partner experience, pricing, quality, or sourcing) - not as an India-only initiative, but as full, global ownership working directly with US-based stakeholders and cross-functional leaders.

This is a high-agency, individual-contributor product leadership role - not a people-management or "group product manager" position. You'll be hands-on, close to the product, and directly accountable for outcomes at scale.

What You'll Do

• Define and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap for your domain, aligned to aggressive company-wide growth goals
• Translate ambitious business goals into concrete, actionable product plans - balancing near-term wins with long-term bets
• Run deep market research, competitive analysis, and continuous user feedback loops to ground every major decision
• Act as the senior product voice for your domain - influencing and aligning with senior stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional partners across time zones
• Set and champion best practices for roadmapping, rollout strategy, and product governance as the India team scales
• Drive complex, multi-team product initiatives from idea through post-launch iteration
• Define and track the KPIs that matter, using data to continuously sharpen the experience
• Spot and champion AI-driven opportunities - using ML and advanced analytics to improve product, automate processes, and create competitive advantage
• Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Content to ship scalable, measurable outcomes
• Help build the founding playbook for a brand-new product organization - its practices, its culture, and its bar for excellence

What You Bring

• 12+ years of progressive product management experience, with significant time in a strategic/principal-level role
• A track record of defining, launching, and scaling complex B2B, enterprise, or marketplace products in high-growth environments
• Genuine fluency with AI tools - you use them to compress the path from idea to shipped, validated product change, and it shows in how you work
• Strong strategic, analytical, and quantitative chops - comfortable building a business case from messy data
• Executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders ranging from engineers to senior leadership
• Experience working with international/US-based stakeholders is a strong plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus

Nice to Have

• Deep familiarity with B2B or e-commerce marketplaces - supply chain, logistics, or operationally complex domains
• Experience with pricing strategy, growth strategy, or margin analytics
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML or experimentation frameworks to product decisions
