Data Annotator
Clinvvo is a fast-growing, profitable Swedish health-tech company, trusted by 200+ hospitals and clinics across Sweden and Germany and newly backed by a $1.5M USD seed round from European institutional investors. We are building a new data product that turns real clinical consultations into privacy-safe, AI-ready datasets for medical and speech AI. The quality of that data is what makes it valuable, and this team keeps it clean and consistent.
The Role
You will be part of the in-house annotation and data-quality team, reporting to the Annotation & Data-Quality Lead. You will run the day-to-day of our annotation pipeline and the quality checks behind it: labeling the language-independent parts of the data, keeping work moving across batches, and running the QA mechanics that prove our data is clean. This is hands-on, detail-driven work at the core of a data product buyers and regulators will scrutinise.
Note: this role does not replace our native-language contract annotators (Swedish, German, and more). They handle the language-dependent labeling; you handle the language-independent labeling, the quality operations, and first-line review.
What you'll do
• Label the language-independent parts of the data (e.g. audio segmentation, structural tagging, timestamp and diarization checks, metadata, formatting).
• Run QA mechanics: assemble gold-standard sets, compute inter-annotator agreement, pull audit samples, and prepare per-batch quality reports.
• Operate the pipeline day to day: assign and track work, monitor throughput and turnaround, and chase flagged or uncertain cases to resolution.
• Do first-line review and adjudicate disagreements against the guidelines; help calibrate new annotators and new language pools.
• Flag recurring issues and edge cases to the Lead so guidelines and training improve.
What we're looking for
• 1–3 years in data annotation/labeling/data quality/QA, or a strong detail-oriented graduate ready to learn.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistency; comfortable following (and improving) written guidelines.
• Comfort with numbers, spreadsheets, and simple metrics; quick to learn annotation tools.
• Reliable, organised, and able to manage your own queue in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written English communication.
Good to have
• Experience annotating for ML/AI, or with audio/speech or clinical/medical data.
• Familiarity with data privacy / PII concepts or regulated-data workflows.
• Exposure to QA metrics such as inter-annotator agreement.
• An additional language is a plus, though not required for this role.
Why this role
• Core to a data product that has to be provably clean — your work is the quality backbone, not busywork.
• Learn the full annotation-and-compliance stack under an experienced Lead, with room to grow into senior reviewer or lead roles.
• A profitable, funded company and a meaningful mission.
