Graphics & 2D Animation Artist

SXILL is looking for a creative and passionate Graphics & 2D Artist who can handle both Graphic Design and 2D Animation batches and mentor students through practical, industry-oriented projects.

Key Responsbilities

• Conduct practical and engaging classes for Graphic Design and 2D Animation students.
• Teach concepts of visual communication, graphic design, illustration, composition, typography, colour theory and design principles.
• Train students in 2D animation fundamentals, including principles of animation, character animation, motion, timing, posing and storytelling.
• Guide students in creating industry-oriented assignments, projects and portfolios.
• Demonstrate professional workflows and creative problem-solving techniques.
• Provide regular feedback and help students improve their artistic and technical skills.
• Plan and structure lessons, exercises and project-based learning activities.
• Evaluate student work and maintain academic/assessment records.
• Stay updated with current design, animation, digital content and creative industry trends.
• Encourage experimentation, creativity and independent thinking among students.

Required Skills

Graphic Design

• Strong understanding of Graphic Design fundamentals
• Typography & layout
• Branding & visual identity
• Digital and social media design
• Illustration and image manipulation
• Composition and colour theory

2D Animation

• Strong understanding of 2D animation principles
• Character design and animation
• Storyboarding
• Timing, spacing, posing and movement
• Basic motion graphics
• Visual storytelling

Software Skills

Proficiency in relevant industry-standard tools.

• Practical/industry experience in Graphic Design and/or 2D Animation

• A willingness to work with students at different skill levels
• Passion for teaching and developing young creative talent

Experience

1–3+ years of relevant industry/teaching experience preferred.

Freshers with an exceptional portfolio/showreel and strong fundamentals may also be considered.
