About the Role

As the Director of Business Operations, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing the operational performance, governance, and service delivery across multiple business functions. You will play a critical part in scaling the business, driving operational excellence, enhancing productivity, and ensuring alignment with global business objectives which may include Product Data Management, Quoting, Fin Ops, Supplier Operations and other expanded capabilities as needed.

You will be required to establish robust operating frameworks, oversee service delivery, drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage risk and compliance, and build a high-performing organization that delivers business value while supporting the enterprise growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead end-to-end GCC operations across assigned business functions.
• Develop and implement scalable operating models, governance structures, and support global performance management frameworks.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and improve key operational metrics, SLAs, KPIs, and business outcomes.
• Establish a culture of data-driven decision-making and execution excellence.

Strategic Execution

• Translate enterprise and functional strategies into executable operational plans.
• Partner with global business leaders to deliver transformation and capability-building initiatives.
• Support GCC growth through capacity planning, workforce planning, and operational readiness.
• Create an environment that enables opportunities for automation, digitization, and AI-led process improvements.

Service Delivery Excellence

• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services to global stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and automation methodologies.
• Establish best practices and standard operating procedures across functions.
• Improve delivery reliability and customer experience through disciplined operational management.

Talent & People Leadership

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations organization.
• Drive employee engagement, inclusion, and leadership development.
• Establish succession plans and strengthen the leadership pipeline.
• Demonstrate and cultivate leadership excellence, accountability, innovation and continuous learning, holding leaders accountable for embedding these behaviors within their teams.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary operational partner to senior global functional leaders.
• Communicate operational performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across matrixed organizations.
• Represent the India GCC in leadership forums and governance reviews.

Governance & Risk Management

• Implement governance mechanisms to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with global priorities.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and local labor laws.
• Oversee business continuity planning, operational resilience, and risk mitigation activities.

Financial Management

• Manage operational budgets and cost plans.
• Track operational ROI to drive productivity improvements and cost optimization initiatives
• Support business case development for new capabilities and investments.

Required skills and experience:

• 18+ years of experience in business operations, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in product data management, quote management, finance operations, business process automation and optimization.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset. Proficiency in analyzing large data sets, interpreting insights, and using data to drive informed decision-making.
• Strong project management skills to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and successful implementation.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, cross-functional teams, and senior executives.
• Demonstrated ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization and with external partners.
• Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Good to have skills and experience:

• Previous US GCC operational experience preferred.
• Experience with PIM (product information management), Master Data Systems, quote, procurement or order management softwares and processes
• Distribution experience preferred.
• Familiarity with e-commerce and omnichannel distribution to optimize the customer experience and maximize sales.

Qualifications:

• MBA preferred or graduate in any discipline.
