Performance Tester

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Performance Test Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating the performance, scalability, reliability, and stability of enterprise applications through comprehensive performance testing & engineering practices. The candidate should possess expertise in performance testing, workload modelling, scripting, monitoring, bottleneck analysis, and AI-agentic approach performance testing and engineering. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications consistently meet performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies, test plans, scenarios, and workload models based on business and production requirements.
• Develop and execute performance test scripts using Apache JMeter
• Perform Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance, Scalability, and Volume Testing for web applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud/on-premise applications.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using APM tools such as New Relic, AWS cloud monitoring
• Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, provide optimization recommendations, and prepare detailed performance reports.
• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, database, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Leverage AI agents and Generative AI to automate JMeter script creation, workload generation, performance analysis, bottleneck identification, and report generation.
• Drive continuous improvements by adopting performance engineering best practices, automation, and AI-assisted testing.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering for enterprise web applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Proven expertise in Apache JMeter, including scripting, parameterization, correlation, workload modelling, distributed testing, and Groovy/JSR223 scripting.
• Solid understanding of Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance, Scalability, Capacity, and Volume Testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with APM tools such as New Relic, AWS cloud monitoring ,Dynatrace/AppDynamics, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience analyzing application, database, and infrastructure metrics to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with SQL, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), REST APIs, microservices, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience using AI agents or Generative AI to accelerate performance test script development and performance analysis is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
