Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence. Tata Electronics is a subsidiary of the Tata group.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process quality control inspections at various stages of semiconductor production.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to identify defects and deviations in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and root cause analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain documentation for quality control procedures and inspection results.
  • Work closely with production teams to provide real-time feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to quality control protocols.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate quality control measures into new product development.

Qualifications

Masters/bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Experience

At least 5 years of relevant experience in EMS industry

Essential Attributes

  • Strong knowledge of industry standards (ISO 9001/IATF 16949).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques (JMP/Minitab).
  • In-depth knowledge of IC Packaging processes and PCBA.
  • Quality control certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Need hands on experience in quality control tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D, 7QC tools)
