Role Summary

We're hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for Deccan AI's technical roles — engineering, product, and other specialist functions. You'll partner directly with hiring managers and leadership to build hiring plans, run a high-bar interview process, and close candidates in a competitive talent market. You'll report into the Talent Acquisition lead and work closely with leadership across our Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Mountain View teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and close — for engineering and other technical roles

• Partner with hiring managers to scope roles, define hiring plans, and design interview loops that assess technical depth fairly and efficiently

• Proactively source passive candidates through professional networks, referrals, and niche technical communities

• Screen candidates for technical fit, motivation, and culture alignment before handing off to technical interviewers

• Manage the candidate experience end-to-end, keeping candidates informed and engaged through every stage

• Track and report on pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and other hiring metrics

• Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for recurring or hard-to-fill technical roles

• Benchmark compensation and market trends to keep offers competitive across Hyderabad, Bangalore, and the Bay Area

• Champion Deccan AI's employer brand in the technical talent market

• Mentor junior recruiters and help scale the talent acquisition function as the team grows

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience, with a strong track record hiring engineers and other technical talent

• Proven full-cycle recruiting experience, from sourcing through offer negotiation and close

• Strong sourcing skills using modern recruiting and networking tools

• Hands-on experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS)

• Ability to assess technical candidates' skills and communicate technical roles clearly to candidates

• Excellent stakeholder management — comfortable partnering with engineering leaders and executives on hiring strategy

• A data-driven approach to recruiting, comfortable owning hiring metrics and pipeline reporting

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
