General Information

Our department Emob R&D is looking for a Resident Engineer to support our development of Controls Technologies (Engine Control, Master control) at our customer, R&D location Chennai.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Execution of error analysis autonomously through measurements on vehicles or at test benches
• Supporting the first operation of new SW/HW releases at test bench including software updates, coding, tool configurations
• Execution of reprogramming campaigns (SW + Calibration) at the customer’s locations
• Project support for the introduction of software updates on the various vehicle platforms on site
• Cooperation with the Schaeffler software development team in Toulouse/ Bangalore, as well as the customer development team at the site
• Participation in the further development of software/systems by developing and evaluating alternative solutions
• Collaboration in an international and interdisciplinary team in compliance with the Schaeffler’s guidelines
• Customers network for quote support and business opportunity
  
  

Your Qualifications

• Master’s degree on Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Software engineering or equivalent
• 5 years on Automotive Embedded System development and debugging
• Communication & presentation skills, strong customer orientation
• High degree of problem solving and quality awareness
• Knowledge on Vehicle, Powertrain and Engine system (combustion and hydrid)
• Knowledge on communication system Ethernet, CAN, LIN and FlexRay and analysis tools (e.g. CANoe, CANalyzer, Coredo, Trace 32...)
• Knowledge on calibration tools, e.g. INCA, DDT2000
• Valid driving license for LCV required
