Role Summary

Olea is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Blockchain/Tokenization) who is passionate about building enterprise-grade software systems and delivering meaningful business impact. The role requires a highly capable software engineer who remains actively hands-on in software development and is currently writing production-grade code.

This position combines strong conventional software engineering expertise with practical blockchain knowledge. The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable financial technology solutions that bridge modern distributed systems, cloud-native services, and blockchain-enabled asset infrastructure.

Location: Hyderabad, India (preferred). Candidates must be based in Hyderabad or willing to relocate. Hybrid work arrangements will be considered based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Product Engineering

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable production software systems.
• Take ownership across the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to production deployment and support.
• Build secure, resilient, and high-performance backend services and user-facing applications.

Platform Development

• Develop and enhance platforms supporting digital asset and tokenization use cases.
• Build integrations between traditional financial systems and blockchain-based infrastructure.
• Design APIs, event-driven services, and distributed systems supporting enterprise workloads.

Software Architecture & Problem Solving

• Design robust solutions for complex business and technical problems.
• Drive engineering excellence through sound architecture, coding standards, testing, and observability practices.
• Contribute to performance optimization, scalability, and reliability initiatives.

Blockchain Engineering

• Participate in the design, development, and integration of blockchain-enabled applications.
• Develop and interact with smart contracts and EVM-based ecosystems.
• Support wallet, custody, transaction management, and token lifecycle functionalities where applicable.

AI-Assisted Engineering

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate engineering productivity.
• Implement appropriate guardrails, code review practices, testing strategies, and security controls.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor engineers through hands-on collaboration, code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
• Promote modern software engineering best practices across the team.

DevOps & Delivery

• Contribute to Agile delivery practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams.

Role-Specific Technical Competencies

Core Software Engineering

• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, system design, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to build and operate large-scale production systems.

Programming Expertise

• Strong hands-on development experience in Java or TypeScript/JavaScript based enterprise applications.
• Deep understanding of modern backend frameworks, API development, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.

Full Stack Development

• Experience building modern web applications, backend services, integrations, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with scalable frontend frameworks and responsive application development.

Blockchain & Web3 Knowledge

• Working knowledge of blockchain technologies and decentralized application development.
• Experience developing, reviewing, or integrating smart contracts using Solidity and EVM-compatible ecosystems.
• Understanding of blockchain architecture, wallets, token standards, transaction processing, and on-chain/off-chain integrations.
• Experience with enterprise or public blockchain platforms such as Ethereum and other EVM-compatible networks.

AI-Native Development

• Experience using AI coding assistants and AI-driven engineering workflows responsibly.
• Understanding of LLM-based applications, AI APIs, RAG architectures, agents, and evaluation frameworks is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 6+ years of production software engineering experience outside blockchain and crypto-focused roles.
• Must be currently hands-on and actively writing production-grade code.
• Demonstrated experience building, deploying, and operating enterprise-scale software systems in production environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership activities.
• Exposure to blockchain technologies, smart contract development, and EVM-based systems is required.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, trade finance, or related domains is advantageous.
