Guardian of Childhood is a youth-led nonprofit working to advance children's rights and create safer environments where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

We develop educational resources, awareness campaigns, workshops, and community initiatives that promote child protection, digital safety, mental well-being, and positive participation. Our work is guided by the principles of dignity, inclusion, respect, and the best interests of every child.

We collaborate with students, educators, parents, youth volunteers, civil society organizations, and community partners to encourage informed action and strengthen child-centered communities. Through education and advocacy, we aim to help people understand children's rights and their shared responsibility in protecting them.

About Guardian Of Childhood

Guardian of Childhood is a youth-led organization working to promote children’s rights, civic literacy, youth leadership, education, community engagement, and meaningful participation of young people.

As Guardian of Childhood expands its international presence, we are establishing Country Chapters to bring authorized GOC programmes and initiatives closer to young people and local communities.

We are looking for motivated young leaders to serve as Country Chapter Heads.

About The Role

As a Country Chapter Head, you will lead the development of Guardian of Childhood’s Country Chapter in your country.

You will work with the GOC Humanitarian Department and wider organizational team to build a reliable local team, connect with young people and relevant organizations, and support the implementation of authorized GOC programmes, educational initiatives, campaigns, and community activities.

This is an unpaid, voluntary leadership position for a 1-year term.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate the development of the GOC Country Chapter
• Build and coordinate a committed local volunteer team
• Engage young people and develop appropriate local networks
• Implement authorized GOC programmes and initiatives
• Support educational, civic literacy, youth leadership, community, and humanitarian activities when authorized
• Develop appropriate connections with schools, youth organizations, educational institutions, community groups, NGOs, and youth leaders
• Represent Guardian of Childhood responsibly within your authorized role
• Maintain regular communication with the GOC Humanitarian Department
• Submit regular reports on chapter activities, participation, impact, challenges, and next steps
• Help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for participants
  
  

The Handbook emphasizes that Country Chapters should focus on building a capable and reliable community, beginning with a small team and authorized initiatives rather than simply pursuing a large membership.

Who can apply?

We are looking for young people who

• Are under 30 years old
• Are interested in children’s rights, youth participation, civic engagement, education, humanitarian work, or community development
• Demonstrate integrity, responsibility, respect, and commitment
• Have good communication and teamwork skills
• Can take initiative and work independently
• Are willing to build a Country Chapter gradually and responsibly
• Can commit to the role for the full 1-year term
• Are comfortable working with an international, youth-led team
  
  

Previous nonprofit or leadership experience is helpful but not mandatory. We are interested in your potential, commitment, ideas, and willingness to serve.

Important

A GOC Country Chapter is not an independent organization. It operates under the Guardian of Childhood Humanitarian Department and remains part of Guardian of Childhood.

Country Chapter Heads may only implement programmes, activities, campaigns, and educational materials that have been specifically authorized for Country Chapter use.

Country Chapter Heads are not authorized to independently register organizations using the GOC name, enter major agreements, raise or spend money, conduct political activity using GOC’s name, or claim governmental, diplomatic, UN, or intergovernmental status.
