Android Audio Framework Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an Android Audio Framework Engineer with strong hands-on experience in C++, Android Audio Framework, and AOSP.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Android Audio Framework using C++
• Hands-on experience with Android Audio Framework / AOSP Audio
• Hands-on experience working with AOSP source code
• Experience with key Android Audio components such as:
  • AudioFlinger
  • AudioPolicy / AudioPolicyManager
  • AudioService / AudioManager
  • AudioFocus & Audio Routing
  • AudioTrack / AudioRecord
  • Audio HAL
• Strong understanding of C++, OOP, Multithreading, Synchronization, IPC/Binder, and AIDL
• Good knowledge of Linux and command-line debugging
• Hands-on experience with ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, Bugreport, GDB, and Android traces
• Experience with Git/Gerrit
• Ability to debug issues across Android Framework → Native Audio Framework → Audio HAL

Good to Have

• Good working knowledge of Java
• Understanding of Android Framework and system architecture
• Experience with Android Automotive / IVI
• Knowledge of ALSA / TinyALSA
• Experience with HIDL/AIDL-based HAL
