Senior Business Analyst

Position Description

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, solution design documents, process flows, and data flow diagrams.
• Create and maintain detailed design documentation covering business processes, system interactions, integrations, data mappings, and functional flows.
• Understand and document application architecture, system components, dependencies, interfaces, and data flows.
• Work with solution architects and technical teams to understand proposed solutions and ensure business requirements are correctly reflected in the design.
• Analyze ETL processes, data transformations, source to target mappings, data validation, and downstream impacts.
• Develop and review source to target data mapping and transformation requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to understand ETL pipelines and identify data related issues or gaps.
• Perform impact analysis for system enhancements, integrations, data changes, and new business requirements.
• Create process diagrams, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other analysis artifacts.
• Participate in solution/design reviews and provide business and functional perspectives.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and support testing.
• Validate delivered solutions against approved requirements and design documentation.
• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process or system improvements.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and solution design.
• Proven ability to create high quality functional and technical design documentation.
