Role: Historian Technical Architect - Pharma Manufacturing

Location: Ahmedabad (Plant-based role with a 6-day work week, requiring close collaboration with manufacturing, automation, quality, and engineering teams.)

Experience: 7-10 Years

Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, Computer Science, or related Engineering discipline.

Role Summary:

Zydus is looking for an experienced Historian Technical Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise Process Historian solutions across pharmaceutical manufacturing sites. This role will be instrumental in driving Digital Manufacturing and Pharma 4.0 initiatives by enabling secure, compliant, and scalable industrial data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise-wide Process Historian architecture across manufacturing sites.
• Lead implementation, upgrades, migrations, and optimization of AVEVA PI System, GE Proficy Historian and related historian platforms.
• Integrate historians with DCS, PLC, SCADA, MES, LIMS, SAP, and analytics platforms.
• Develop asset frameworks, event frames, data models, and historian standards aligned with ISA-95 and ISA-88.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GAMP 5, and ALCOA+ data integrity requirements.
• Enable manufacturing analytics use cases including CPV, OEE, Batch Analytics, Energy Monitoring, and Digital Manufacturing initiatives.
• Architect data integration with cloud and analytics platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and AVEVA CONNECT.
• Collaborate with IT, OT, Automation, Manufacturing, Quality, and Cybersecurity teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Establish best practices, provide technical leadership, and support multi-site deployments.
