Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking an experienced professional to lead the valuation and appraisal of gold assets within our Operations and Services department. This role demands a high level of expertise in assessing the quality, purity, and market value of gold items to support the bank's gold loan portfolio. The incumbent will ensure accurate and timely appraisals, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborate closely with credit and risk teams to mitigate financial risks. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the gold market dynamics, committed to upholding the bank's reputation for integrity and customer trust.

Responsibilities:-

• Conduct thorough and precise appraisal of gold jewelry and bullion to determine purity, weight, and market value in alignment with current market trends.
• Verify authenticity and quality of gold items using industry-standard testing methods and equipment.
• Collaborate with credit and risk management teams to provide accurate valuations that support loan sanctioning decisions.
• Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, assay reports, and valuation certificates, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on fluctuations in gold prices, market demand, and regulatory changes affecting gold loan operations.
• Train and mentor junior appraisers and operations staff on gold valuation techniques and compliance protocols.
• Coordinate with branch operations to streamline the appraisal process, ensuring timely loan disbursal and customer satisfaction.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in gold valuation.
• Participate in audits and inspections related to gold loan assets and appraisal procedures.
• Advise management on potential risks and opportunities in the gold loan portfolio based on appraisal insights.
