Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands expertise in assessing the quality, purity, and market value of gold to facilitate secure and efficient gold-backed lending. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance within the financial services sector. This position plays a critical role in risk mitigation and customer service excellence by ensuring accurate asset valuation and adherence to the bank's operational standards.

Responsibilities:-

Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and purity.
Evaluate and determine the market value of gold assets using standardized testing methods and current market rates.
Maintain accurate records of appraisals, including detailed reports and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate timely and accurate loan disbursement based on gold valuation.
Stay updated with fluctuations in gold prices, market trends, and regulatory changes affecting gold loan operations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and anti-money laundering guidelines during appraisal and loan processing.
Train and mentor junior staff on gold appraisal techniques, quality standards, and operational procedures.
Identify and report any discrepancies or suspicious activities related to gold assets to the appropriate authorities within the bank.
Participate in periodic audits and quality checks to uphold the integrity and accuracy of gold appraisal processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing appraisal accuracy and operational efficiency.
