Creative Video Editor

About The Role:

We're looking for a highly creative and fast-moving Video Editor who understands how to create content that grabs attention and drives purchases.

This is not a traditional editing role. You'll be responsible for turning products, offers, and ideas into high-performing video ads across Meta, Instagram, and other digital platforms.

What You'll Do

• Create short-form video ads for paid marketing campaigns
• Develop fresh creative concepts and hooks
• Edit videos with strong pacing hook
• Curate compelling headlines/hooklines, captions, and CTAs
• Produce multiple creative variations and experiment 
• Use AI tools to brainstorm ideas, improve speed and output quality
• Analyze creative performance and improve winning concepts

What We're Looking For

• 6 months - 2 years of strong video editing skills 
• Proven ability to create attention-grabbing content
• Strong understanding of social media content formats
• Creative thinker with a bias for execution
• Fast learner who can work independently
• Comfortable using AI-powered creative tools
• Ability to generate ideas, not just edit videos

Preferred Background

• D2C, e-commerce, performance marketing, or consumer brands
• Experience creating ads that generated sales, leads, or measurable business results
• Personal content page, creator experience, or portfolio of short-form content

You'll Stand Out If

• You understand consumer psychology
• You can explain why a creative works
• You consistently come up with new angles and concepts
• You move fast without sacrificing quality

Must-Have Skills

• Video editing - short-form first (Reels, Shorts, performance ads). Required.
• Design fundamentals - layout, hierarchy, typography, color. Required.
• Hook + CTA writing - conversion copy for paid social. Required.
• Growth literacy - understands the metric a creative is meant to move. (good to have)

Intermediate to Advanced

1. Canva
2. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or equivalent AI tools
3. Midjourney, Freepik AI, Kling, Runway, Veo, Envato, or equivalent AI creative tools
4. ElevenLabs, DesiVocal, or equivalent AI voice-generation tools

Handle sensitive data responsibly in compliance with the DPDP Act, ISO-27001:2022, and Pratilipi’s internal security policies — ensuring data privacy, confidentiality, and NDA obligations at all times.
